La Prudencia bellota Iberian ham, from our own Ibérico breed of pigs raised free on our Extremadura farms. Fed exclusively on acorns from the holm oaks and cork oaks typical of a particular and unique pasture. Our pigs eat about 9 kg of acorns a day during the montanera season (from November to February), to reach an optimal weight of 180 kg.

Organoleptic Characteristics

La Prudencia bellota Iberian ham follows the traditions of our grandparents that remind us of authentic village flavours. The unique flavour of the acorn is notable for being soft but intense, marbled and unctuous, fine and elegant, sweet and harmonious, a treat for the 5 senses.

Recommendations for use

SLICED 100g: Plate of bellota ham, hand sliced by our master cutters. Best kept in the fridge at a temperature between 0º and 4ºC and taken out one hour before consumption. Another option is to take it out of the fridge and hold the container over warm water for a minute in order to achieve the ideal consumption temperature. Once opened, it is preferable to consume the slices within 2 – 3 days.

Minimum 48 months of curing.
